men from Oklahoma have decided to test the caps in old fashion way – on

David, 38 years old electrical engineer from
Oklahoma, has seen TV advert for gas caps which supposedly reduces your
gas costs for 7-14% percent. As David being skeptic he decided that
he must thoroughly test the gas caps to prove its benefits for him. He
invited his neighbor, a real estate agent Danilo, and Danilo's cousin
Jure, currently visiting USA, to join him on this quest.

But IS IT TRUE?
The car they tested the gas caps with was family
mini van. It was decided by men that testing will be conducted on local
highway approximately 100 miles in one direction and 100 miles back, all
the time with constant speed of 65 miles per hour.
On the first test run without the gas caps the
average MPG was around 23. On the second run testers received a huge
blow as the caps improved MPG for only 4%. "What a disappointment!"
said David when they left further testing and went for a beer. But the
story does not end here!
After one week David, when reading the gas caps
instructions again, realized that they didn't follow the manufacturer
instructions. The gas caps can start working only after 2-4 full tanks.
Only after his wife used a car for a week and filled the tank every time
with 2 caps David tried the test run again.
And to his surprise, the average MPG while using gas pill increased to
30.6, an astonishing 20% improvement. Nobody of three testers could
believe their own eyes. This type of caps could actually save you 1.000
of gas dollars per year, not to mention how much a business which is
depending on fuel, like trucking could save.
