How did 2 Oklahoma dudes test the gas caps!

After so many "statements" that gas pill will save me 7-14% on fuel, I had to test it! The cost of a gas caps and a little time that will take to test it is nothing compared to yearly savings on fuel, if the gas caps really works.

Maybe you've heard that there is a new gas caps on the market. This product is called MGP-Caps and it is manufactured by Fuel Freedom International or FFI.

So, I decided to test the gas caps with my wife's car, Chrysler Town & Country, year 2003, with 3.3l engine, 180 HP. Great car, by the way. I service this car regularly at the authorized service center. Till now I had no major problems with it and I presume the car is in perfect shape for testing the gas caps. I decided to test my ride on the nearby highway, where I can drive with constant speed of 65 miles per hour, which would give me the best average MPG.

I invited my neighbor, Danilo, and his cousin Jure to join me on this quest. I explained everything to him and he agreed to be my companion on the road. I have ordered MPG Caps retail package from "SITE" for 19.99 $. It says 3 days for the delivery, so I'll have to wait couple of days.

In the meantime, waiting for the gas caps, I checked the site again. Apparently you can join marketing the gas caps gas pill and earn a lot of money through promoting the product to your family, friends or neighbors. Seems interesting, will give it a look if  I see the caps really works.

Yesterday we got the gas caps package and today is Saturday, the D-day. Nothing fancy about the package and caps. We pulled to the gas station and purred full tank. We didn't put the gas caps into the tank, as we wanted first to do a check run. After filling, we put some Britney Spears on (just kidding) and hit the road. We plotted the test run to be long 100 miles in one direction and 100 miles back. The driving speed would be 65 miles per hour. That should give us very nice MPG estimate.

So we went through the test run. On the way we chatted about family, kinds and, of course, cars. When we returned, the average MPG was 23,1. We put down the number and went for a beer! What the heck, there was a long trip ahead of us.

Now for the real thing! We pulled again to the gas station and filled up the tank . This time I put 2 caps in the tank, by the FFI recommendations. I crossed my fingers and sat behind the driving wheel. This is it! I intentionally changed the display so that it would show the average MPG, and I wouldn't stare into the display all the time.

So, we were driving, chatting, and NOT LOOKING on the display. After around 100 miles we drove off the highway and stopped. The moment of truth came! We removed the piece of paper AND…! The average MPG was 23,2 – a major disappointment (but wait, it gets better). Slightly discouraged, we turned the car, reset MPG and hid the display again. When we stopped the car in front of our houses, we checked MPG again. It was 23,3! Only 4% decrease in fuel consumption (but the story does not end here) – BAH!. We decided to forget about it  and cursed the lying salesmen.

Today I asked myself what to do with the rest of the gas caps? What the heck, I told my wife to throw them in the tank every time she fills it. She has a successful wedding planning business and so she drives a lot. It can't hurt, can it?

It's Saturday and I checked FFI site again. I intended to write for refund of all costs, because the gas caps obviously do not work. When looking for contact, I found additional instructions. They said that gas caps may take a few tanks to start working on consumption. I asked my wife how many tanks did she filled up and it was 2.

So, I though why not?!?! I pulled the car to the gas station again, filled the tank to the top and put 2 gas caps in it.

Again, I undertook the same testing trip. I started with no expectations whatsoever. I am driving and driving, and after 100 miles I stop and take a look at MGP. WOW, I couldn't believe my eyes! The average MPG was at 30,6 MPG, THAT IS MORE THAN 20% reduction! OK, I said, slow down, dude! I reset the average MPG and turned back. I admit -  this time the driving seemed long as hell! When I pulled of the highway, I couldn't wait any more and I checked the MPG. 30,4!! I ran to Stephen's house and explained what happened. Of course he didn't believe me, so I handed him the keys. He drove off, did couple of miles on the highway and came back as astonished as I was. He confirmed the low consumption - 30,2 MPG.

Apparently we hit the jack pot! The gas caps save me a 20% on fuel costs. My wife and I make 50.000 miles per year, which is around 2270 gallons. Calculated with the current price of gasoline in Oklahoma (2.91) per gallon, that's 6.613$ per year and saving 20% means 1.323$. That's quite a lot, don't you think? I can't even begin to imagine what gas caps could mean to a trucking company.

In our family, the gas caps save astonishing 20% on fuel. That means we have quite some extra money we can spend on holidays or something else. We are no more slaves of the high fuel costs!

After two weeks the fuel savings are still around 20% - it means that the caps really work. The whole family is happy that I have found the magic caps.

This product is also a great opportunity to market and promote it to my friends and family – it has great compensation plan and high commissions. But since I have a responsible job and I am also helping my wife with her business, I am afraid I won't have time to do it. But Danilo (my neighbor) has decided to join as a distributor, so check his site:  SITE , he already started to crush some serious dollars.
